The Community of Deer Lake is issuing an urgent appeal for donations to assist community members who have been evacuated as a result of a massive forest fire.  Many community members were evacuated with little more than the clothes on their backs.  Donations can be made on line at Canada Helps through Keewaytinook Okimakanak.  You can donate online:
