Kenora in Top 10!
February 08, 2010

Today the City of Kenora celebrated its first victory and launched the new round of voting with a special event including a hockey game at the Kenora Recreation Centre. Students from local schools came out to play and watch a game of hockey, monopoly money with the voting instructions on the back was handed out, and students were able to vote there on site. The boards of the ice rink were dressed in Monopoly squares, Mr. Monopoly himself (City of Kenora Mayor Len Compton) arrived to centre ice via a limo, dressed in a top hat and bow tie, he and some of the other councilors were on hand to drop the puck for the hockey game.

“Once again this just goes to show you the strength of community spirit! I encourage all constituents to vote for Kenora,” said Rickford. Remember each email address can vote once per day and the voting will go until February 21st. Encourage your family, friends, neighbours and co-workers to continue to vote go to the link on the left side of our web site: www.gregrickford.ca
