On November 4, 2009, Private Member’s Bill C-391 to scrap the long-gun registry passed a Second Reading in the House of Commons with a vote of 167-134.
Unfortunately, Liberal MP, Mark Holland and other Opposition MPs tabled a motion to abandon C-391, which has triggered a debate and vote.
The vote has been scheduled for September 22, 2010.
If this motion is successful, PMB C-391 is finished!
It is my hope that the MPs who supported Bill C-391 on November 4 will stand in the House and defeat Mr. Holland’s motion.
